Avondrood Mountain House offers a complete getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. One visit to the Avondrood  “Kliphuis” will redefine your understanding of peace, tranquility and unspoiled natural beauty. Its unsurpassed viewpoint over a vast patchwork of winelands stretching out into the far corners of the Breede River Valley, combined with the picturesque beauty of the magnificent Boland mountains which surround it, makes this 2-storey getaway built from natural stone, a little piece of heaven on earth.

Ultra spacious double-bedrooms will have you waking to the sounds of indigenous birdlife, whilst overlooking a blanket of clouds covering the valley below.

The "splash pool " is an ideal place to cool down in the summer time.

Activities include hiking, birdwatching and swimming. Wine tasting at our boutique cellar is another must.

The Avondrood Mountain House is an absolute joy for children, with wide "prairies & jungles" to roam and explore. You are welcome to bring your pets.

Please take note, that Avondrood Mountain house is completely self-catering, but provides absolutely everything from bedding to pots, pans, microwave and even firewood. So your packing and unpacking chore is kept to an absolute minimum and you can enjoy the tranquility upon arrival.
